I have always loved dogs and animals in general. I first watched dog agility on Animal Planet as a child and I am grateful to now have the means to make it one of my core hobbies.
I took my first class at DTCCU in 2021 and quickly caught “the dog sports bug.” Since then, I have earned 25 titles and counting with my first sports dog, an Australian Shepherd, in agility, rally, trick dog, barn hunt, and companion events. We are also just getting started in nosework. It’s amazing all the things you can do with your dog!
As a member of DTCCU, I have assisted and instructed in Home Companion and Beginner Agility. I love seeing a dog’s eyes light up when a new behavior clicks for them and seeing the joy of a team growing their connection together. I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion with others, while also learning from each team I get to interact with. I aspire to someday earn championship titles with my own dogs, and want to share my love of dog sports with others, to take them as far as they want to go, too!
