Beginning Tracking
No knowledge of tracking is expected to enroll in this class and there is no minimum age to start tracking. Puppies are welcome as are dogs that have no obedience training.
Each class will last for 3-4 hours and will include discussions about handling tracking dogs and tracking rules and regulations. However most of each class will be spent outside in various areas in Champaign County regardless of the weather. Handlers need to dress appropriately.
The homework load for this class is rigorous. Handlers are expected to track 3 times/week outside of class, regardless of the weather. During the winter months this means class participants may be tracking in the dark.
The class will meet at 9:00 a.m. December 28, January 4, 11 and 18.

Class size is limited to 6 dog / handler teams
