This class is for dogs who are proficient enough at tracking to complete a track with one corner and have had exposure to tracking on more than one type of surface. By the end of the class, it is hoped dog-handler teams will be able to complete tracks with multiple corners and a variety of scenting challenges (change of cover, change of surface, aging, etc.).
Handlers will make more progress if they are able to track a minimum of two times a week outside of class, preferably with another member of the class so they can lay tracks for one another. Class participants are expected to volunteer to help with DTCCU tracking tests.
Instruction will be at various sites throughout Champaign County (and perhaps nearby counties).
Class is limited to 8 handlers.
