I started dog training as a 4-H youth 40+ years ago and have had a lead in my hand and a dog by my side ever since. My performance event training, trialing, and titling includes obedience, rally, retriever hunt tests, and dock diving. I’ve also finished AKC conformation championships on several breeds including Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Pointer, Bernese Mountain Dog, and Australian Cattle Dog. My dogs have been featured in local theater and movie productions. My training philosophy: “Never sacrifice the relationship for the ribbon.” Dogs are companions and members of our family first. The training and trialing adventures enhance their lives and mine, placing us in the company of amazing people and dogs.
