I got my first dog to train and show in 1963, and never looked back. Since then, I have trained and shown dogs of a variety of different breeds and mixes, primarily Irish setters, Dobermans, Border collies, and Whippets. I have titled dogs in conformation, obedience, rally, agility, flyball, whippet racing, and lure coursing, with many of them showing up in the national rankings along the way. I owned and trained the first shelter dog in the country to earn a Versatility Award from the Border Collie Society of America, and have since taken three Whippets to Versatility Awards from the American Whippet Club. I started teaching dog classes at the local high school in Florida the early 80s, and taught my first class for DTCCU around 1995. My strengths lie in my ability to establish solid working relationships with a variety of dogs of vastly different temperaments and backgrounds, and to hold myself accountable for the dog’s performance and abilities
