The registration cost for an 8-week class is $120 and the cost for a 4-week class (or workshop) is $60.

This class is for dogs that can do a track that includes at least two corners. By the end of the class, it is hoped dog-handler teams will be able to complete tracks with multiple corners and a variety of scenting challenges (change of cover, change of surface, aging, etc.) An opportunity to certify will be provided at the end of the class if dog-handler teams are ready.

Handlers will make more progress if they are able to track a minimum of two times a week outside of class, preferably with another member of the class so they can lay tracks for one another. Class participants are expected to volunteer to help with DTCCU spring tracking tests.

Instruction will be at various sites throughout Champaign County (and perhaps nearby counties). The class will meet for five weeks during the Winter session. Class will begin January 1 and will meet for the next 5 Sundays (January 7, 14, 21, 28 and Feb 4).  Each class will begin at 10:00 a.m. (various locations) and will end with a discussion/evaluation/goal setting session at the Dog Club.

Class is limited to 8 handlers.
