Classes & Training
DTCCU offers a wide variety of training classes at its local facility. Classes in basic canine manners (the foundation courses in puppy kindergarten, puppy elementary, home companion and sub-novice) and classes that prepare handlers and their dogs to compete in agility, obedience, and rally obedience are offered four times a year. Other classes (usually short courses) in tracking, animal-assisted therapy, tricks, clicker work, and freestyle are offered as time and demand permit.
Classes are limited to small enrollments (8-12 dog-handler teams) and many fill quickly, so enrolling early is advised. The registrar maintains a waiting list for popular classes. Unless otherwise noted, courses run for eight weeks and last 45-60 minutes.
Not all classes are offered every semester.Course Schedule Registration and Fee Information
